Peace Corps

As a tool to improve educational opportunities in rural communities, the CRUSA Foundation supports the work of Peace Corps Volunteers from the United States of America with an annual donation of $100,000. These funds support projects developed by volunteers in rural communities around the country in the Peace Corps’ three focus areas in Costa Rica: Community Economic Development, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Youth Development.
The projects have achieved several goals, from the construction of multipurpose spaces for communal activities, to English camps; from supplying drinking water or recycling systems for an education center, to training community leaders.
